Kendell Newman Sadiik is a writer, teacher, and instructional designer based in Alaska. She has been working in higher education since 2010 in roles ranging from research to curriculum design to teaching. She is a founding member of Alaska’s Learning Inside Out Network, which aims to increase access to higher education opportunities for incarcerated Alaskans. She teaches “Digital Storytelling” online and creative writing workshops in and outside of Lemon Creek Correctional Center in Juneau, Alaska. Her essays and short stories have appeared in Grist, Iron Horse Literary Review, and Jabberwock Review, among other publications. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College.
